Explore the gardens and investigate how the Georgians changed the landscape you can see from the Terrace. Uncover secrets from the well-trodden corridors Below Stairs with family trails and hands on activities. Learn about Harewood’s past and discover the quirky histories behind life at one of Yorkshire’s most loved country houses. Don't miss: • Paint like Turner: head to the North Lawn and grab a paint brush! Join fellow painters and have a go and recreating an original Turner painting of Harewood. • Meet Elizabeth Burrows, Housekeeper: take a tour with Harewood’s oldest housekeeper. Listen to her stories about how Harewood House was built. • Wibble Wobble Jelly on a Plate: Take a trip Below Stairs and learn about the history of jelly in the Old Kitchen. • Become a Victorian Kitchen Hand: Dress up in different outfits and imagine what it was like working in Harewood House. • Clip-Clop, Neigh and Gallop: Discover how the Courtyard was once a bustling stable block filled with horses and ponies.
