Burke's Blood - an unexpected discovery

Welcome to the event that puts the 'OOoooooo' in book! Peeking through the pages of our fascinating rare book collection, you won't be able to resist revelling in Edinburgh's literary history. You'll have the chance to see original books and materials touched by the doyen of the deerstalker Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, alongside a petition from Edinburgh's medical students calling for more bodies for dissection - just when Burke and Hare were finding a gruesome alternative to meet the demand... And it seems that Burke didn't escape our archives either. We're thrilled (and a little chilled) to have recently uncovered a letter written in his own blood - and you'll be the first to see it!
