From Shackleton to the Suffragettes: Dundee 1901-1919

Join us for this after hours celebration of Edwardian Dundee! Mingle with fantastic Dundee characters such as entrepreneur James Caird, artist Stewart Carmichael and game-changing suffragette Lila Clunas. Ernest Shackleton will be on hand to discuss his ill-fated 1914-17 Trans-Antarctic expedition and a local WW1 soldier will talk of a very different set of hardships to those of the legendary explorer. There'll be music in the beautiful Victoria Gallery, a suffragette printing workshop and why not grab a momento of the evening in our postcard Instagram booth? This is one evening not to be missed!
