The centrepiece of this afterhours event is Video Jam, who’ve worked with filmmakers and musicians to create a site-specific, sensory experience that fuses moving image with live music, right in the heart of the atmospheric mill machines of the museum’s Textiles Gallery.
Music, film and science combine in this unique collaboration. Live music and contemporary film are brought together by Video Jam at the Museum of Science & Industry. Video Jam is an ongoing series of unique, experimental events which seek to explore and re-examine the relationship between moving image and live sound. This will be an atmospheric programme, staged site-specifically within the surroundings of the museum’s galleries – creating an immersive and evocative experience like no other. For this event, Video Jam are looking to commission new audio/visual work from regional filmmakers and musicians. We are inviting artists to bring films that explore industry and the sciences to life.
