Art Lunchtime Talk: An introduction to Maurice Marinot: A Passion for Glass

Maurice Marinot (1882-1960) was a pioneer in the development of glass as a studio art form. Originally associated with the Fauvist movement, Marinot discovered glass in 1911 and spent the next 26 years mastering the craft, creating unique pieces of glass that are bold, innovative and remarkably beautiful. The exhibition brings together forty-four pieces of glass from the collections of Amgueddfa Cymru, the Victoria and Albert Museum and New Walk Museum & Art Gallery, reuniting them for the first time since they left the Marinot family in the 1960s and 1970s. Join Andrew Renton, Head of Applied Art, for an introduction to the exhibition.
