Tailoring the image: fashion and accessories in art

Art historian Lois Oliver reveals new discoveries about the historic fashions and textiles depicted in paintings by artists such as Bellini, Ingres, Rembrandt and Van Dyck, and explores how art has inspired contemporary fashion designers including Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. Award-winning costume designer Jenny Tiramani, Director of the School of Historical Dress, and her specialist team will lead a hands-on historic costume session.
