Johnston Journey tours at London Transport Museum's Depot

Design fans will love the latest Johnston Journey tours at the London Transport Museum’s Depot store in Acton, which have been created to mark the 100th anniversary of the famous ‘Johnston’ font, designed by Edward Johnston in 1916. This classic typeface was used across all of London’s public transport networks. Altered to keep pace with printing and digital technology, the font has been through some small changes over the years, starting in 1979, but it is still instantly identifiable as the font that millions of passengers still see on signs and Tube logos across the transport network today.
