Poet in the City presents an evening in the company of The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. As part of A Victorian Obsession exhibition, this event will look in detail at the philosophy behind a fascinating group of artists, and will explore the poets and poetry inspired by this stunning collection. Hosted by academic and broadcaster Peggy Reynolds (BBC Radio 3 Adventures in Poetry), in discussion with art historian Jan Marsh, the event will also feature special live performances of some classic poetry from the likes of Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Browning and Swinburne.
This salon event will also feature a special live piano recital of composers influenced by the Pre Raphaelites, including Faure, Delius and Schumann, by celebrated pianist Prach Boondiskulchok.
