The Museum of Brands is delighted to present An Evening Talk with Nikki Westoby on Consumer Neuroscience. With the combination of neuroscience and consumer research it is possible to go directly into the brain to discover the neural explanations for consumer behaviour. The ability to record brain activity with electrodes and advances in neural imaging technology make it possible to determine specific regions of the brain that are responsible for critical behaviour involved in consumption Nikki will introduce us to the way brands use these techniques to hone their products. She will give us some background into how the conscious and subconscious brain works, this will be followed by a live demonstration with a willing volunteer of how the equipment is used with a look at the results on screen. All guests will also enjoy an after-hours visit to the Museum and a cash bar. 6pm Museum & cash bar open 7pm Talk 8-9pm Chance to peruse the Museum
