The 1914 Christmas Truce

Talk by Dr. John Sutton. The unofficial Christmas Truce of 1914, is justly famous. British and German soldiers disobeyed orders, unilaterally called a ceasefire, meeting in no-man’s land. The talk focuses on the Leicestershire Regiment including the personal story of an ancestor who was killed on that Christmas Day.
