Dust

Enjoy a tour of banners both on display and undergoing conservation at the museum and learn about dust: historic evidence, preservation threat or inspiration for artistic works? Following the tour, Conservator Vivian Lochhead and artist Daksha Patel will describe their different perspectives and research into dust removed from banners. After the talk, visitors are invited to visit the Paper Gallery, a short 15 minute stroll from the museum, to see Patel’s exhibition on the subject. Part of Manchester Science Festival 2014.
