SPECIAL EVENT: Join Intelligence Squared and a panel of speakers to explore whether London is too rich to be interesting. Is there evidence that the city is growing bland, or quite the reverse?
Speakers:
Akala: Rapper, poet and journalist. He is the founder of the Hip-Hop Shakespeare Company, a touring troupe that performs his adaptations of Shakespeare's work.
Simon Jenkins: Columnist on the Guardian and Evening Standard and chairman of the National Trust
Gavin Turk: Artist considered to be amongst the Young British Artists. He has pioneered many forms of contemporary British sculpture now taken for granted, including the painted bronze, the waxwork, the recycled art-historical icon and the use of rubbish in art.
Remaining speaker to be confirmed
Chair:
Kieran Long: Senior curator of contemporary architecture, design and digital at the Victoria and Albert Museum
