We are cramming a whole week of celebration into one fantastic day. Workshops, talks, special guests and an evening of star gazing that all the family can enjoy. The start and end dates of World Space Week are also important: October the 4th marks the anniversary of the launch of the first human-made Earth satellite, Sputnik 1 in 1957, while October the 10th marks the signing of the Outer Space Treaty in 1967.
The theme for the week this year is "Space: Guiding Your Way" and it will be a celebration of everything about satellite navigation.
