An Evening Lecture with Professor Timothy Darvill
Cotswold Archaeology championed innovative approaches to the investigation of sites and monuments across southern Britain. From prehistoric flint scatters to Second World War defences, new discoveries have greatly expanded our understanding of the past and its relevance to the present. This lecture explores the changing environment in which archaeology has found itself over the last 25 years and highlights some extraordinary finds that Cotswold Archaeology has brought to light.
Timothy Darvill is an English archaeologist and author, best known for his publications on prehistoric Britain and his excavations in England, Wales, and the Isle of Man. He is Professor of Archaeology at Bournemouth University and is recognized as one of the leading authorities on Stonehenge and the British Neolithic.
