Ice Age Science: Mammoths, mega boulders and microscopes

Meet the scientists at The University of Manchester who study ice age animals, plants, and landscapes. Take part in fun activities including cave painting and ice age Top Trumps. See fossils from the Museum’s collections to learn about ice age giants such as the mammoth and woolly rhino. Use microscopes to see fossil pollen from ancient plants. Take a guided tour to hear the fascinating story of the giant boulder in the Old Quad behind the Museum. Part of Manchester Science Festival.
