As part of our new Trainspotting season we’re hosting a very special evening to celebrate one of Britain’s most common pastimes. We’re opening up more of our collection and giving you the opportunity to share your spotter stories at our evening gathering. The event includes:
• National Railway Museum curator Bob Gwynne on the history of trainspotting from the 19th century to present day
• Preview of our web video of Ian McMillan reading his Trainpotting poem
• Exclusive cab access to a variety of locos in our Great Hall
• Tasty Yorkshire ploughmans picnic supper.
• Entertaining spotter stories – with the opportunity to share yours.
Tickets to this event are £10 per person and can be booked online at www.nrm.org.uk/trainspotting or by phone on 08448 153139
