CREATE! Bespoke Bags 13 - 15 years

YOUNG PEOPLE'S COURSE: Over this two day course you will design your own bag as a fashion statement or for a laptop, taking inspiration from the V&A Collections. Working with designer-maker Elizabeth Oniri, you will create a bag in a tote or envelope style from a selection of fabrics, and decorate it using appliqué, embroidery, beadwork and other decorative techniques. Learn hand and machine sewing skills, and the basic principles behind bag design. No previous sewing experience needed. There is only a 30 minute lunch break, so it is advisable to bring a packed lunch. Art Studio, Sackler Centre
