Don’t miss the brand new and improved explosive Tanks in Action Displays, every weekday during the Summer Holidays.
In recognition of the First World War Centenary, the display will open with a fierce fire-fight between British and German troops backed up by our replica WW1 tank – the Mark IV. Then watch in awe as tanks from as early as World War Two roll into action with thundering engines and life-like explosions!
Complete with expert commentary, you will discover how tanks work, how they developed and how they are used on the battlefield.
There's plenty of action inside the Museum as well!
Talks & Tours - Learn more about things like the Mark IV, Chieftain, and Tommy in the Trenches with handling sessions and interactive displays, every day at The Museum.
Craft Activities - There are "Poppy Field" and "Tommy" colouring sheets, trails and crafts to keep your children engaged and entertained.
Re-enactors - Meet our First World War re-enactors outside their bell tent every weekday and find out more about life during the War.
Diamond Faces, the face painters, will also be here on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week during the Summer holidays.
