Tutankhamun's Curse?

The discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb provoked unprecedented media interest. Denied access to the tomb, reporters published an entertaining mix of fact and fiction, and the sudden death of Lord Carnarvon gave them plenty to write about. Soon many people believed that Tutankhamun's tomb contained a terrible curse capable of killing across the centuries. This lecture considers ancient Egyptian curses in general and explores how the legend of 'Tutankhamun's curse' developed.
