Mendip Hills Historic Environment Day

A day of talks and seminars focusing on the historic environment of Wells. Talks include: Somerset Vernacular Building Research Group – The icing on the archaeological cake Pip Osborne – On-going excavations at Chewton Mendip Barry Lane – A re-evaluation of the Witch of Wookey Hole Dr. Zena Kamash – From Mendip to Levels: landscapes and identities 1500 BC to AD 1086 Stephen Yeates – The Tribe of Witches (author of The Tribe of Witches: the Religion of the Dobunni and Hwicce) The day will end with a discussion session. Lunch is provided.
