Poems on the Underground

A celebration of Dylan Thomas with guest poets Dannie Abse and Owen Sheers; readers Piers Plowright and Cicely Herbert; and music by Welsh composers, performed by the Apollo Chamber Players. The summer set of Poems on the Underground, posted in July 2014, celebrates the centenary of the great Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. The set includes poems by Dylan Thomas and four living Welsh poets: Dannie Abse, Gwyneth Lewis, Owen Sheers and Gillian Clarke, along with a poem by Gerard Benson, co-founder of Poems on the Underground, who died on April 28, 2014. In partnership with the Keats Community Library.
