Get to grips with archaeology and discover what it can tell us about play in the park in the past. Enjoy an interactive insight into how children used Whitworth Park.
Ruth Colton, Archaeology and History PhD student at the University of Manchester and the project assistant on the Whitworth Park Community Archaeology and History Project, will illustrate how postcards of the park and objects that have been found can tell us about how children dressed and what they played with. See and handle some finds from Whitworth Park and enjoy playing with some replica toys of those found.
