Hensley Henson was a colourful and sometimes controversial Dean of Durham during the First World War, returning later as Bishop. After an introduction to his life, we will hear extracts from his journals, letters and sermons which shed unique light on the first year of the War. Speakers and readers include The Very Reverend Michael Sadgrove, Dean of Durham; Bishop David Stancliffe; Lilian Groves, and Ivor Stolliday. Q and A included.
