The portraitist and illustrator, William Nicholson is best-known for his striking, black and white prints such as the Alphabet and London Types. His son Ben is renowned for his abstract, neo-constructivist white reliefs and was one of the most radical and innovative artists of his day. Ben’s wife, Winifred was a painter who developed a personal impressionistic style whose work has often been allied to the St. Ives school. Curators and historians discuss the lives and work of this extraorinarily talented family.
