Winging It – Civil and Military Aviation in the 1940s

Since taking to the air in little more than a few well-placed planks of wood, those magnificent men haven't stalled in the pursuit of the perfect flying machine. St Cecilia's would like to invite you to take your seats and buckle up for this fascinating look at aircraft in the 1940s with our aviation aficionados. The first leg of this historic trip focuses on the first commercial flights from Edinburgh to London (we're guessing it took more than an hour!), while the second explores the military might of our airborne forces. Lots of aeronautical anecdotes here - less a wing-walk and more a wing-talk!
