For those with a scientific curiosity, the Natural History Museum is providing the chance to hear first-hand reports of discoveries unearthed during recent fieldwork from a group of its scientists. A unique alternative to the tired pub meet, the evening presentation, Back from the Field, is part of the museum’s Night Safari with MasterCard series of events, which introduce guests to a multitude of weird and wonderful creatures from across the globe.
Once the Museum doors have closed for the day, guests will have the chance to unwind over a drink in the iconic Central Hall before hearing from three Museum scientists who have recently returned from scientific expeditions. Guests will learn about their methods, hear new findings and discover why their work is so valuable to science. It’s a chance to experience the mysterious air of the museum after dark, taking in the galleries and inspiring architecture while roaming the galleries at night.
