Traditional Crafts & Skills Weekend

Abbeydale’s historic workshops will come to life with demonstrations of forging and grinding, and there will be stalls of artists and local producers with goods for sale. Other traditional crafts and skills on show will be iron smelting, wood turning, lace making, spinning and metal working, with Abbeydale’s resident potter and glass maker opening up their workshops for the weekend. There will be community stalls, including our very own Abbeydale Haberdashers, and live music throughout the day. Our cafe will be open for drinks and snacks, and Whirlow Hall Farm will be barbequing.
