The Ballad of the Wanlockhead Ingot

250 years ago, a lead ingot was smelted. Just how did it arrive in France, and then South Africa and where did it eventually turn up? Find out in this weekend of entertaining workshops for children culminating in a special concert on Sunday evening. To really bring this tale to life, we'll help your kids craft their own version of the story and a visual artist will draw on all those artistic impulses to bring colour to the piece. And just when you thought those creative juices were all used up, those talented kids will create a musical soundtrack too! The weekend will end with a collaborative masterpiece - 'The Ballad of The Wanlockhead Ingot' concert. And you'll find a very good reason to stay on a while in the shape of our lively, family ceilidh featuring the 'Cask Strength Ceilidh Band'.
