An exciting range of evening activities as part of the nationwide Museums at Night festival.
Fred Deakin, Mercury and Brit Award nominated musician, will be travelling to Cheltenham to host an evening of music and visual arts at The Wilson. He will collaborate with The Wilson Collective – a group of 16 - 25 year olds interested in arts and culture.
The de Ferrieres area and The Wilson Café will be transformed into a live band space and ‘ScribbleJam’ area where young people will be live-drawing onto projections that relate to the museum’s collections, and inviting the public to join in. This will create a new artwork to be displayed in 51, the dedicated area within The Wilson for young people. Meanwhile, upstairs in the Summerfield gallery Fred Deakin will be DJing and using multiple projectors to create an immersive audio visual performance.
