This year it is 150 years since the Great Sheffield Flood. Kelham Island was one of the areas that was affected by the powerful torrent of water on 11th March 1864. As part of National Science & Engineering Week at Kelham Island Museum you can find out more about the science of water. There will be “science on a soapbox” demonstrations and an opportunity to experiment by creating your own soap bubble art work. Activities are rolling between 11:00am and 3:00pm, with the Museum open from 11:00 to 4:45pm.
