St. Luke

St. Luke is represented writing, his symbol, the winged ox, is at his side . In real life he was a Greek physician, and a friend of St. Paul . He wrote both his Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles. He accompanied St. Paul on two of his Missionary journeys as well as to Rome . St. Luke is the patron saint of doctors, and also of painters. Size: 94.6 x 65.1 cm
