Dish

Part of a pair of dishes. The dish is shallow and on either side rises a horizontal loop handle. The outside of the dish is glazed with a very dark blue and edged in dog tooth gold, the foot is edged with a band of gold, as are the handles. The inside of the dish is decorated with a painting of Mercury carrying through the air a female figure wearing classical draperies by the artist Thomas Bott. Size: Diameter: 24 cm.
