Col. J.G.A. Bickford R.A.'; underneath is the following information 'This denotes a junior rank in the service of the German Schutz Polizei (Schpo) regular uniformed urban police.'; beneath this is mounted the third epaulette, this has two stars and a white and brown band on the basic epaulette; benmeath this is the following information 'This denotes a junior with four years service in the Schutz Polizei a Wachtmeister i.e., Corporal. The two stars are spurious and in addition are at a wrong angle.'
