Pucallpa, Ucayali Northern PERU CULT Shipibos-Cunibos Indians 1960's to 1970's Pucallpa, Ucayali Peru The flights consist of two long feathers, each differently coloured and lashed to the arrow reed shaft with fine sinew, the spiral sinew binding being kept in place on the shaft with what looks like a coating of black resin. The flights are twisted slightly (about a quarter of a turn) to make the arrow spin during flight. The rear point of the bone tip acts as a projecting barb so the arrow would be impossible to pull out.
