Dish

Shallow dish, on either side raises a horizontal loop handle. The outside of the dish is glazed with a very dark blue and edged in dog tooth gold, the foot is edged with a band of gold, as are the handles. The inside of the dish is decorated with a painting of a classical; figure with wings holding in her arms two children, behind her flies an owl, all against a black ground. Around the rim of the dish is a border of stars and spots and other formal decoration in gold and white. Size: Diameter: 24 cm
