Elaborate case with gilt scrolls, etc. The clock surmounted by figure of boy in 18th century costume and holding a scythe, with background of oaktree and sheaves of corn. The clock face is white enamel with black Roman numerals and hands ( made by William Mott, Patent, London - Paris. ) The clock is on a thick wooden base and covered by a glass dome. Wooden base oval 356 mm x 165 mm, height 457 mm. , , , , Brass plate attached to wooden base of clock - " Presented to Todd Esq of Aukeside by his tenantry, as a token of their esteem - 1858." This clock was actually stolen at one time from the Beamish Hall exhibition, but was later recovered. Also see file for photographs.
