Free app leads the way to National Trust and English Heritage landmarks, hidden historical sites and more across the country

In a new app aimed at active and curious culture-loving people and families, How it Works – a science and technology magazine which aims to “feed minds” – is promising to spoil people for choice by offering the chance to find even the most mysterious attractions through an intuitive map and live data streams.

Museums, galleries, castles, palaces, parks, zoos and cathedrals might be some of the more traditional haunts you can find with Great Days Out. But it also aims to help find little-known or obscure spots which might not be that easy to trace on an average map.

“If you want to find unique and interesting activities for your family that are both inspiring and educational then this app will provide everything you need,” reckons Editor-in-Chief Dave Harfield, who wants the innovation to lead the way to “amazing first-hand experiences”.

“No family should be without it.”

Users will be able to pick and choose through pictures and event details each venue provides on Culture24. Backed by Arts Council England, the app is available from iTunes.
